Right now, I’m excited the country is opening up, and with it, fresh opportunities will come.

Now is the time to start thinking about making a change.

Many people are considering a new path.

Research by the London Business School shows 47% of 1,000 individuals surveyed want to change their careers.

If you’re considering a career change, remember it’s not only about the change itself.

It’s important to look at your emotions.

A big part of my passion is around how we avoid having uncomfortable conversations, and how we often don’t talk about the emotional element of making career transitions.

These conversations are vital because our emotions and feelings as important for guiding us as our logic.

We need both components to access the full set of wisdom and information we have available to us.

Life is meant to be a progression.

It’s supposed to evolve step-by-step

It’s not an exercise in perfection

Nobody has a perfect life.

You could stop expecting yourself to have it all figured out and allow space to experiment and explore when you’re making transitions in your work life.

How would that feel, look, sound to you?

That applies in other areas of life too, but careers in particular.

My aim is to get people to focus on their desired outcomes.

The best piece of career advice I can give you?

Don’t choose a job, career, business, or boss you think is awesome.

Instead, develop your personal mission, know how you individually make an impact, and understand how you can connect with others to help increase that impact as well.

Your job isn’t just what you do.

Your job is about the feelings you bring to work, too.

It’s about how you like to show up, be seen, be heard, and be perceived in the world.

Your work is about who you are being.

You’ll probably have tons of questions running through your mind. Things like:

  • What happens if I’m unemployable?
  • Who’s going to hire me?
  • What are employers looking for?
  • What retraining should I do?
  • Where should I start?
  • What do I even want?
  • How will I know a change will be the right thing for me?
  • Who should I talk to?

Help!

You may feel guilt, and like you’ve lost your identity.

You may feel sad, anxious, and fearful.

You may also feel relief, motivation, and determination.
